Phase 1 of Trade Deal with China Aims for $40 Billion in US Exports

Managing Director, Al Kluis appeared on BNN Bloomberg to discuss phase 1 of the trade deal between the U.S. and China. He commented that China previously imported 26% of the U.S. soybean crop, and has since dropped to 10%. Despite this decrease, the trade deal aims to achieve $40 billion in exports to China over the next two years. The agreement could create opportunity for farmers across the industry, especially for Hog farmers who have increasingly large herds.
