Long Range Forecasts

The updated long-range forecasts suggest that La Nina will end in February, and that we will move to a neutral pattern from February through April. The big question will be whether we see El Nino develop late spring into early summer. Forecasters are putting less than a 50% chance of El Nino starting in July through September, and just over a 50% chance in August through October.
