How Have Soybean Futures Been Affected by August Weather ?

Despite consistent gains for soybeans futures near the end of August, traders maintain concerns about the U.S crop. Commodities Broker, Bob Linneman appeared in Reuter’s explaining how weather in August limited potentially record crops for some farming operations. He stated, “the lack of rain in August – plus extended heat- clipped the top end of soybean production for many areas”.
