Harvest progress was reported at 22% for corn and 26% for soybeans, which is behind the five-year average by 14 percentage points and 23 percentage points. Keep an eye on basis levels. If production looks to be short in an area, the basis will likely tighten further. Those areas where production is short should help keep basis tight in a reasonable geographic area.
