Some 50,000 members of the International Longshoremen’s Association walked off the job Tuesday morning. This impacts ports along the Gulf Coast and East Coast of the US. Analysts feel the biggest impact will be on container goods, not grain exports. However, this is a story that should be monitored if not resolved quickly.
