Farmers Face Ongoing Challenges From the Coronavirus

How big of an impact can the Coronavirus have on U.S. farmers? Managing Director, Al Kluis appeared on BNN Bloomberg to discuss how the virus is impacting grain and livestock markets. He discussed the ripple effect taking place due to the virus causing businesses to close and lowering demand.

He also commented on China’s recent purchases of soybeans from Brazil despite the phase one trade agreement signed in December. Based on the current market, he believes another market facilitation payment is possible in March.
