The USDA released the first Crop Progress report of the season yesterday. Corn planting came in at 2% planted, in line with expectations, while Spring Wheat planting was reported at 3%. Winter Wheat conditions were rated 48% Good to Excellent, slightly higher than the 47% expected. The market will be closely watching spring weather for any signs of planting delays that could impact yield potential or shift acreage decisions.
